Finally warm enough to start working on this. Here's a story in 3 pictures...

Did you got a donor crankshaft? Or how you mixed up the nr of bolts in crank and flywheel?

Everywhere I read said the newer engines were 8 bolt. Nope. I had the new engine together before I pulled the old engine out, didn't notice until now.
Not a huge deal, got a flywheel ordered, should be here this week.
Added a proper return line for a boost referenced fpr.. just waiting until I get the motor back in and the line connected up front to trim the excess hose by the tank and put a fitting on it. Also removed and blocked off the port for the factory fpr last week and pulled the extra hose out.
I also got the proper flex plate and bolted it up to the engine. Hopefully that's going in tomorrow.

Had some time this weekend, and it was warm enough, so the engine is back in the car. Now I can start chipping away at the little things and getting it buttonned up. "fun" job solo.
Well done, love the view of fresh coated subframe. Looks very clean.
You don't want to use a engine oil cooler?

Never needed. My oil temps have always been great. If it ever becomes an issue I'll add one.
Regulator mounted and return line in place
Got a bit done this weekend. I need to set the FPR, and either make adapters or splice the correct connectors onto the adv sensors. Then I just need to put the front bits on and fill some fluid and can start it up.

Had a few minutes tonight so I wired the LSU style connectors onto the ADV sensors...
Front diff filled, axles in and control arms back in place. Glad I picked this axle pulling tool up, made this job so easy.

Installed sway bar, front support, intercooler, radiator, 4 bar tmap, and intake pipes. Fluids and start tomorrow...
I got the PCV all finished up this weekend, had to drive to three diff auto stores to find one with 3/4in hose.. nuisance.
Car started, sounds good so far. I had a bit of an incident while I was under the car adding trans fluid and the car was running, that wasn't fun.
All of a sudden one of my cooler lines disconnected, I guess I didn't click it in all the way. You can see the size of the puddle post-cleanup. All that pricey atf1 on the floor.
break in oil looked clean...
