I couldn't find any info here about this or a diy on this here.i did search.
I want to be proactive and do a maint on my auto zf6hp19 trans.i haven't had issues so from reading up on what people have done, theres:
-pan/filter
-mechatronic sleeve
-the 4 rubber and square seal
I have read mixed reviews on doing a sonnex zip kit so don't think I would be doing this(unless strongly recommended)
For the guys that have done this to there auto trans
where is a good place to buy all these parts(if have part #'s to share would be great).

This is relevant:

@TheFixer rebuilt his 6AT due to not having forward/reverse... He has some links in that thread for some guides...

I just did mine a couple weeks ago.

You can get most the stuff from FCP Euro. It's all ZF and it's lifetime replacement. I spent 500 bucks for the pan, fluid, solenoids, bridge seal and valve gaskets. If your military, active or retired, you get a discount.

The only thing you need to order separate is the sonax zip kit and separator plate.

I got the zip kit from a seller transmissionjobber on ebay for 109

I purchased the separator plate from transparts warehouse for 47.

Any complaints about the sonax kit is likely people not knowing what they are doing. If you are mechanically inclined and have done tedious precision stuff..... you'll be fine.

Thanks guys, got some some good info here.

No problem.

One thing to note. There are over a dozen versions of the ZF6hp.

Each uses a specific separator plate in the mechatronic valve body. For example mine is a B58 or A58. That number is stamped on the plate and is visible on part of the plate that sticks out.

To identify what sonnax kit you need you can go to the sonnax website. They have guides you can view to help you determine what valve body you have.

FYI, there are different catalogs and inventory systems and databases which reference the different transmissions by various names, but this may help:

6HP19TU = 6HP19Z = 6HP21

You might check out Liquimoly for fluid on the trans - I saved a good bit using that versus ZF. Just as good.
