Go with solid metal subframe bushings. No added NVH and the new bmws come with solid from the factory.

On the rear diff if you go solid you will get diff whine. So your call on solid vs m3 or poly. I went solid and it does not bother me but there is gear whine. I would suggest a ride in a car with solid so you can hear it.

I would start with subframe and diff and if that does not fix your issues look at the rear suspension components.

If you still have stock OEM wheels I highly suggest getting a set of light weight wheels, which will save you ~8lbs per corner (like, from 29lbs to 20lbs, IIRC for my 18” Apex ARC-8 wheels). It may not sound like much but you’ll notice a great improvement in acceleration and braking because of the lower rotational mass, and handling will be improved because of the lower unsprung weight.

I have always considered getting lighter wheels but I have the IS 313 Wheels and I am not sure I want to look at anything else.
I'll see if I can find out how much each wheel weighs.

Just did the VRSF relocation inlets and it was a nightmare of a job. The instructions were atrocious which is what made it so difficult.
I do feel a difference so far and just sent my logs to Dimitri at BQtuning so it will improve even more. In the end, I don't think I would do this again unless I had upgraded turbos.

I have these on my car for a year now, i love them and i love the sound also, definitely not as claimed for the gaining HP (60HP)but you will feel the difference in response and high RPM.
I also added VRSF outlets couple of months ago, running almost the same setup as yours (except for a 7" intercooler) and i noticed a slightly faster spool, maybe that's just me!
Have you thought about adding catch cans? RB turbo external PCV?

hey guys, im sorry to thread in here. Iv been having an issue and the last thing that was done was Vrsf inlets...i was having some issues or i thught i was a month or so ago..which i did a log, so i have a baseline to compare it to..

So i have 07 335 manual gearbox, with complete vrsf FBO with vrsf charge pipe and Tial BOV .. Running stage 2+ MHD flex fuel around 40%. Cars been running great the past week i did install on inlets and it was a bitch... To get that rear inlet on that small flange of the turbo was insane.. we got it clamped on there very tight... Anyways... On my way home i was on the high way.. maybe doing 50mph... maybe 4th gear wot to hear the difference and almost felt like surging..... again i tried in mid-high gear, low rpm and felt like surging again... has anyone had this happen.. i am stock turbos... No codes are being thrown... i can upload datazap before and after 3rd gear pulls.. I also contacted tial about maybe changing spring on BOV..


Any thoughts anyone. Thank u

I've read you need a custom tune with inlets, an ots map won't work because the difference in duty cycle would cause overboost iirc

Honestly, I thought doing turbos was easier than doing inlets. That rear inlet is such a nightmare. What is your next planned mod, or have you not considered anything yet? I know there's a large group that says "go single" but I think upgraded twins are just sooo much fun. If you aren't looking for >700whp, I would say do twins. I can't imagine how much fun a DCT would be with hybrids running 25psi on E50. I would think easily a 10 second car and 130+ traps depending on traction.

Yeah that rear inlet install is hell, you can always double check it as sometimes it might look like the clamp is well connected but it's not, it happened to me once and the car was acting weird. Did you check your vacuum lines?
What spring do you have? it's better if you can upload a log as that will be more helpful.

Lapeer Dragway. It's pretty nice and not that busy. I should be there about 10 am on the 17th and going to a rolling Dyno the 18th in Bloomfield.

We can start running by 11 so I would try and get there by 10:30 or 10:45. I live in Troy about 10 minutes from that last gas station we meet at or I an just meet you there, up to you?

Weren't people having issues with running on a 2wd dyno with xdelete? Depending on where I'm at with some maintenance items I might try to make it out to that.

edit: xhp now recommends letting the clutch cool off between multiple runs on 2wd dynos.
