i just did plugs and one coil... injectors and carbon blast too... you car appears to be healthy tho... having the new plugs and battery, now i can be confident in buying a spare set of bosch coils knowing they'll be next and only for ignition.. fresh carbon blast new plugs and 6 #12 injectors (you HAVE TO MAKE SURE you have proper injectors index 12 or better before you tune) at 42k miles, coils are just good to have around on these im starting to see

I got 2011 N54 335IS 7 speed dct. Never replaced my injector so I assume i have stock ones. Do I have index 12 or 11?

DCT is 1:1 in 5th but it has a 2.56 final so you're gonna want to dyno in 4th. It doesn't matter, you could dyno in 3rd or 5th and get the same numbers relatively, the dyno calculates it based on engine RPM vs wheel speed and corrects it. You just may get a little better loading in a higher gear (and also a little worse heat soak).

I'm going to go ahead and replace the plugs when I install the VRSF downpipes, VRSF charge pipe, HKS BOV, and the MHD stage one tune.

I'd guess you're probably index 8 or 9. FWIW I have index 9's in a 2012 is - actually one bank of 9's and one 12's. So, one bank must have been replaced at some point - you can easily check and it may be that you already have the later injectors in there.

So I'm coming from a world of nissans so I'm unfamiliar with what a fuel injector index is. I'll give it a quick search and check mine. I'm not the kind of guy who will fall into the trap of trying to make cheap power, cutting corners, and causing myself a lot of trouble. Thank you for the warm welcome and all the help guys I've only been a part of the BMW world for about two weeks now.

Idk how much it matters but when I use Virtual Dyno to track gains in my revisions, 4th gear always makes 15-30hp over 3rd.
