ST Top Mount Heat Management

Vented hood won't prevent the heat from radiating into the engine bay, but it'll let it escape. It's reactive rather than proactive.
Perfection.. I would totally go this route if offered locally. Maybe a DIY? I'd be down to learn how to do this.
Hood is about 40lbs, carbon ones are easy to come by and mine weighs maybe 15lbs. Style is all preference.

You usually see them on cars that are owned by guys who don't know how to adjust hood gaps
This is the hood style I like the most but couldn't find anyone selling one. It seems like the vents are always near the front which I think looks funny, or they try to smash in those M3 vents and it just looks odd. Where did you buy this?

Thinking of doing this for my build. Just not sure how it would look with my otherwise stock exterior.

I had the Dukes Dynamic D2-PowerVented Hood for 5 years before I sold my car. I would say fitment is about 98% true to OEM a few times had the speedo pegged and never had an issue with the hook keeping latched. The vents also helped with heat dissipation not to mention I would say this is the best looking aftermarket hood on the market although not the cheapest. I would 100% recommend any of their products, also had their quad diffuser as well.
I have exactly the shown n15 e9x m3 vents in my 135.
Decide to Paint them black Gloss and i Love how they CAME Out

Read up on emissivity, this is why Jet Hot is the bar when it comes to eliminating heat from exhaust/turbo components.
Swaintech has a better coating available, but I'm pretty sure it's more expensive. I had jet hot do my old downpipes and it didn't last for shit. They were cheap ass race land dps. So, that may have had something to do with it.
