I never crapped about the bracket, I said it should be moved away from the knock sensor or need to be tested but i know this is not a good idea to run something this noisy so close to the sensor as its almost 100% it will give false noise or possibly mask real knock

Go back and read the thread - I won't quote the threads, to include that I was not "thinking outside the box", or that you made the case that a billet mount would solve the problem and not add much cost, and looks like you were right. What did I know when I suggested a bracket?
Oscillation is what is causing this problem - my original post "a long piece of vibrating mass." Not understanding the problem, one might determine that a weak part that broke is the problem, and then one might suggest a billet mount to withstand the weight and stresses. And" thinking inside the box", as you say, one might not consider what that new billet mount is attached to, and how that may be the next weak link and crack (surprise surprise). Elementary experience, really. What's the next billet part to solve this problem?
It must be difficult to always be right and have to live among the lesser ostriches, with their "heads shoved in the sand like ostriches." I don't know what that's like but I'm empathetic. As you said and I agree, there is "no excuse for ignorance, just seems common sense does not exist in most forums."

How about you read all my posts in this thread and right from the beginning I said the bracket of the block is not a good idea but a properly designed bracket not of the block is the key along side the billet housing and of slowing down the pump to reduce vibration.

Looks like Tony is going to be pulling his unit today. Ever since installing it, he is having very strange fueling issues he cannot pin down, which is like saying a mathematician cannot solve 4x4. He is pretty frustrated currently, as the event is a few days away.
Can you be more specific? The problem I'm referring to is where people have the billet vacuum plate but are now cracking the vacuum chamber housing itself and losing brake assist function. Are you saying you have seen the 3x have this same problem?
Yeah, without discussing what is so bad/frustrating it just sounds like slamming a product from a competitor.

Stock vacum plate cracks from 3x and 4x OD pumps. Don’t know anything yet about billet vacuum plate.
Ok thanks for the clarification. I think a bracket is in the works for both the 3x and 4x units.
If you go back to my previous post there were discussed. Extreme rail pressure spikes that randomly occur no matter where you set target. We Spoke with Ken, and Justin about the issue, both had suggestions, none of them worked. A previously dead smooth LPFP signal is now extremely noisy indicating very real spikes/pulses in the inlet of the pump. The rail pressure spikes are causing trim issues. Have tried the trick of targeting 25MPA which is just above the sensor limit to flatline the signal and smooth everything out, this also did not fix the problem. Given enough time it may be fixable, but when we are on a deadline for an event it's easier to simply go back to what was working. Car was running perfectly, we changed nothing but added the overdrive, and we have not been able to run a full dyno pull since without misfires due to fueling problems. We can say the overdrive has no problem holding pressure to redline so it's doing its job but the spikes are posing problems on both rail, and LPFP signal.

Is this going to be like that time the high lift cams were garbage and untunable but ended up being bad vanos solenoids or something?
I know you said the shotgun won't fit on this car now, but was it ever fitted and run? Shotgun and helix do the exact same thing so seems weird one would have tuning issues.
