@Torgus Ok ... yeah gonna suck for a bit. But the other side of this will hopefully be a place with a large building for both wood shop work and garage with lift, etc.I have all that stuff ready to go for my car, along with Spool's overdrive unit. Unfortunately I think I'm going to mothball the Z4 and all the drivetrain upgrades as we are talking about putting our house up for sale and renting a while, until we figure out where we are going. More delays lol ... crap.
Well this brings up a good point. Also ... if this being the case, one wants that Fuelab cylinder very close to the LPFP. Halfway down the trans tunnel sort of defeats the purpose I would imagine.A check valve is required not only to hold the pressure but keep the fuel line full of liquid, although the LPFP may prime quickly it cannot purge the Vapor out until you crank over the engine, this is where the delay comes from. I have a pair of 450s which worked perfectly then one or both check valves malfunctioned causing the very noticeable long crank situation, I kept the pumps but installed a Fuel Lab inline filter with check valve and now it’s back to OEM starting performance, my plan was to eventually chop out the intank filter and go inline to make servicing easy and more practical so this was a logical upgrade for me.
Interesting ... doles the E60 run a different pump than the E8x/E9x N54? I bought a junkyard E89 Z4 bucket and the 295 pump clicked right in.I'd be curious to see how they fit a 295 into the stock 5 series bucket setup. My 535 xi bucket will not accept a 295 without a bunch of cutting.
