I got the numbers on the heads. Huge gains after porting.:grimacing:

Still a lot to do but, the motor is almost finished.

Very nice! I would really love to do a built motor once all the misfire/knock is figured out.

So, I wonder how the Big Boost and Speedtech kits compare in terms of install...

If I'm not mistaken, the only difference is the water pump installation because the turbo sits lower and the turbo housing is bigger on the Speedtech kit. So, the water pump needs to move forward. However, the water pump remains in the stock position on the Bigboost kit.

looking great man.
Any updates? Link to all work and parts used on just the engine build? I'm curious about pistons / rods, new compression ratio, different head gasket / cut ring, valvetrain mods, etc...

I'm probably going to do some kind of build with N55 from my M2, but I am wondering what the differences are between my engine and a standard N55. Rumor was there are s55 internals, but I have yet to see any confirmation. I'm hoping to do a docrace turbo kit. I just don't know if I should build motor first, or let it pop on its own.

Engine difference is the crank. Forged vs cast. All else is the same pretty much. Over 650whp do rods and pistons.

Thanks. I was told that the f87 n55 has the s55 rods & pistons. I trust you know what you're talking about, so thanks for this info. Would weisco pistons and eagle rods work? If not, what are good options for 800-900 rwhp?

Thank you for that info. With that being said, can I get some advice regarding the proper recipe to build my F87 N55 for 800rwhp?

Seriously, what's the goal? What's the weak spot? Lower compression, cut ring head gasket, beefier rods, billet pistons?
