N54 vs B58

If It was possible without costing more than a f20 b58 I would have stuck one in an e87 hatch over my n54.

Love n54's but the whole platform is getting swamped full of Chinese shit parts and its getting harder to get
quality parts for these, the oem parts are becoming hard to get locally and have to import everything from
germany for us here in OZ costing a small fortune in shipping.

This is a n54 vs b58 thread not any other engine so lets stick to the topic.

My 2c…The N54 and the B58 blocks are still very close spec wise…Most of the upgrades we have incorporated into the N54 internals are “standard ish” in the newer platforms..Before I get hammer about the direct injectors…yes yes they can cause some pain…

what holds the ole girl back is the dme lack of canbus…Maybe a max ecu solves this?? Reflex definitely helped but still patch work..

The real question is do ya jump all in an spend the $$ on the old platform..

Or do you start fresh with the newer models..

I’m not letting mine go…But will more than likely pick up a manual Supra when they come out…yeah I’m still old school
