From the API they should default to unlisted with the option to share them with your tuner in your account privacy settings here in the board. It should only be private if explicitly set that way per datalog, otherwise it's a bug.
I didn’t proactively change it for sure. I can’t even find this setting in privacy settings. Can you be more specific ?

Cool. In my case my tuner isn’t on spoolstreet (yet) so I can’t share with him automatically. I am assuming sharing automatically works even if the logs are set to private?
It doesn't. Only if he's a member and only if it's unlisted or public. Otherwise you'd have no way of keeping anything private. If he's not a member, you just need to email him the link, everything expects he's a member, including all the sharing features. He can see all the logs shared with him. Will be adding sorting and marking logs reviewed etc.
The old way, anyone could snoop on your logs. Now they need your profile link and you need to set it public. I will add an option for default API privacy, but honestly not a priority. They can just make an account

It'd be nice to have an option to select default visibility level for API uploaded logs imo

just posted my first graph in a post. very cool. I noticed you can only do one graph per post. Is that going to change to more than one?
It can support multiple embeds per post but normal members can only do one. I do this because if you put ten or twenty logs into a post, it would really screw up the experience particularly for people on mobile since it's pretty heavy with JavaScript. If you need a second log, you can copy the BB code manually from your graph and paste it into a new reply to your thread.
The BB code will change based on the series selected and which csv you're looking at, this way you can embed your exact view.
As a notice, I just applied a 'fix' for an issue with the API uploading which arose after doing some code cleanup. The URL wasn't being returned to MHD and that issue has been mitigated. If you tried to upload without an API key, a link wouldn't have been displayed to you for viewing.
If you did uploaded with an API key, the URL wouldn't be displayed in MHD but the datalog would appear in your account here. I suspect this was an ongoing issue for the last week or so in case anyone noticed odd behavior, it should be working now.
