Ok I went to install my lsd today and the finned diff cover won't fit because I'm convertible. It fits but would require cutting a bunch of fins due to the extra brace that is there.

I had a one-off lockdown brace made for this finned cover by @PC Racing and will sell it all together for anyone who wants it.

You'll get the 650i finned cover(with drain hole) a spacer, the diff lockdown brace( normal braces won't fit) an extra cover bolt, a 10.9 grade 130mm bolt and a couple other bolts for the brace. Selling at a loss:

Wish mine had drain holes... makes the fluid change interesting to say the least

For those that opt for LSD only, did you guys get the new diff gearing, shim kit, diff bushing?

Can we get an update on the status of the Core checks and deposit refunds. Been a week since I was told it would be checked out and still nothing. It would be nice to know what part has taken place.

I'm getting in on the action as well. I just bought a bolted 3.08 diff that is getting sent directly to Mfactory.

Nice! I did the same thing but with a 215mm 3.46 diff. It was built in 2006 and had 35k miles on it and cost me 200 shipped. They only made those for a year and its production date was earlier than synchrotech's chart.

Has anyone with larger hybrids (stage 2 flavor) or ST gone from a manual 3.08 to a 3.46 ratio? Thought I would see a lot more of this but not as popular as one might expect. Maybe for a specific reason?

Higher gear will make it even harder to get out of the hole. Way harder with hybrids
