Looks like I can finally bump the thread for the longest running unfinished dct swap. Put her back on the lift a few weeks ago and dropped the motor/trans. Ditched the htg controller now that xhp finally exists. Doing rod bearings while the motor is out plus a bunch of other maintenance. Also picked up a set of Hydra HP650 turbos. I'm going to get this car back on the road this season one way or another.

Doesn't htg have some secret sauce? I thought it was able to do some things that xho wasn't. I have forgot its been so long.

It was a full standalone, so it could do anything. But it lacked integration into the factory ecu. Its a cool setup if you have a standalone ecu as well

At least yours is going forward. I am ready to just charge then remove my battery, I keep killing them because it doesn't drive.

Nice project!
I went with a Adamat 8 bolt DCT flywheel with 1050NM rated springs.
So far its holding up fine without any issues.
Clutch chatter is barely noticeable.

Good to know! I was about to buy the adamat setup and then came across the clutchmasters unit. Hopefully should work well and avoid tearing up clutch baskets.

WRT the flywheel chatter. Has anyone ever figured out why it chatters and what these new flywheels from adamat or clutch masters have done to reduce it? Always baffled me how the OE M2/3/4 flywheel I installed chatters at idle yet is dead silent on the M cars.

I'm not sure the newer sprung hub flywheels are actually intended to reduce idle chatter. I think the aim is more to protect the trans from the shock loading under power and prevent tearing up the clutches.

Jern does your trans have stock clutches, and how much power does your car make

Stock clutches yes, I'm running the custom flash from CanTcu with line pressures of about 20 bar.
Should hold up till 1000nm
Currently pushing 950nm approx.

Wrapped up the wiring to the shifter today thanks @AJL for the wiring diagram you made. Tied the pt-can wiring into the harness for the ekp module and followed the ajl diagram for everything else. Gotta swap in my 335is steering wheel and then hopefully coding this weekend.
