idrive coding Issues

Hello ,
New to this forum , hoping someone can help.
On 2006 330i the factory CCC head unit with nav died on me, I thought getting CIC with built-in nav made more sense than spinning DVD.
Installation was fairly easy: used HD, screen, screen cable , idrive controller EXCEPT
1. idrive controller does not work
2. Nav is grayed out

I am assuming it needs some type of coding, and I hope someone can help .

Yes it will require coding…probably the E90 forum CIC subsection best
