Here is a link to the Hydromat options.

https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/hydramat/hydramats/

As you see, there isn't an option for the Walbro 450 with the dimensions of our tank.

So you're saying you have a custom mat?

FTR, we aren't being uncivil...we are simply responding to being blatantly called out with information after being falsely accused of price gouging.

It is just a reminder to both parties to show each other respect.

That is correct, the mats we had made are the dimensions of the passenger side tank with the proper placement and the correct attachment (and orientation) for the 450 pump. They are 18" x 9" and can be seen here...

This thread was nothing more than one vendor selling a competing product trying to smear and discredit another vendor. Best of luck to them as that type of product is not our business model nor are we interested in making it our business model. We prefer to stick to plug and play type products.

BTW, very few people run the filter upgrades as most don't need them. So for $400 you can get a complete plug and play solution that will support up to 650whp on E85 mixes, you don't even need to fuss with a secondary pump, and you keep your stock bucket...no DIY necessary. :)

Look, I'm going to make this really blunt and to the point.

As I said, we are not in the market of having our customers tear down and modify their buckets, so we wish you the best of luck. We could basically care less about your project and the only time we take note is when somebody notifies us that you are once again targeting and attempting to slander or attack us in some way. Other than that, we don't start threads to discuss your products, we don't mention you, we don't care.

We are a business with customers and vendors, I'm not going to continue to debate economics and business 101 with you. If you want to offer DIY projects, knock yourself out. If you choose to be a not-for-profit...all the more power to ya. We on the other hand can not do that, that's not a business, it's a hobby.

Now, I am done discussing this topic as I find it kind of ridiculous that this thread is even allowed to exist given the website's "position" on vendor wars.

Steve

Is he a vendor or a hobbyist? Honestly, I don't even understand what he's trying to say in the first post and that is why I'm asking you questions. Frankly, I didn't even read it. I wasn't even aware of the relation of the title of this thread to one of your products until this very moment.

We request that vendors do indeed keep their comments civilized and this is why I've already stated in a previous post in this thread for it to remain so.

You made what blunt and to the point and trust I need not a 101 economics lesson from especially from you. You answered none of the questions as I thought you wouldn't. Have a great night Steve

Ignoring the whole business model comment, the DIY solution is as much plug and play as anything that you offer. The only mod necessary is a 30 sec modification of the feed line.

That's smoke and mirrors and a clear effort at misdirecting people.

If you are comparing apples to apples your $400 solution, which is really more like $698, with the added Hydramat, is ONE PUMP. The equivalent DIY solution, one 450 Walbro with Hydramat, would cost $305.

And what do you know, both use the SAME Walbro 450 pump, so how much HP do you think the DIY solution will support? The SAME horsepower as yours. The only difference is that the DIY solution actually has a way of keeping the fuel socks wet when the car is under g's but yours doesn't.

Also, with stock buckets costing all of $40 shipped, you could go DIY and buy five extra buckets to keep on your shelf if you wanted and still not spend as much money as the Fuel-it setup.

The truth of it is that what both products do is nothing special or magical, they are just ways to hold a pump submerged in the tank. You can try to post dyno sheets, graphs or whatever to hype up your product but at the end of the day, unless you a special ordering your pumps or making your own pumps they all are going to do the same thing. The only question really is what is the true value to holding a pump submerged in a tank.

Please just close this thread. I left BB and came here to get away from this petty shit.
