The timing main table isn't referenced during overrun normally.

Z4 has a louder exhaust, it's quite a bit shorter so the burbles are more audible on the Z4.

Fair point that actually. i wont lie, the Z4 is an incredibly well put together car, the Z4 and the E92, when we both have the same mods, and same power, my friend still pulled ahead of me. i cant explain to people what an amazing car the E89 Z4 35i is. it really is the perfect N54.

I alternate between both. There's no question that the E89 puts power down better and makes more power with the same tune.

I prefer the E92 exhaust note though. I think it sounds much cleaner and after you enable the burbles it has the same kind of character on overrun.

Are you running IKM0S on the E92 also?

INA0S on both cars. I use the Z4 35is ROM as a base on both since it's the most recent and most powerful. It's also designed to work with the DCT unlike IKM0S.

Nice. I tried the Z4 35is flash as a base on mine too, but when I Started the car, I immediately got the fuel pump low voltage error.l on the EKP. Tried to do the voltage Fix on protool, but didn't help. And I could find a parameter in Tunerpro to adjust the bin
How did you get around that?

You need to change the bin a bit to incorporate the 3 series EFP and hydraulic steering. None of those tables are in the public XDF

I can send you a working base file when i get back to my PC in the week.

Thank you. I had a feeling there would be required items that are only privately available.
You have a ton of knowledge. Enjoying learning from you.

Thank you for the offer.

If anyone needs the A2L/Damos for N54 (MSD80, MSD81, KM0S, JM0S etc), shoot me a pm and I'll send you a free link.

Little late but could you send me the MSD80 damos link? I don't believe I saw that one on a previous page. Thank you. Looking for ip_t_min_pu_hom in I8A0S and I don't think it's been defined yet.

Just for those with I8A0S that don't feel like thinking about this, I'm posting the XFD parameter data below. Just create a new parameter and copy.

Then your parameter should look like this if it hasn't been changed:

@carabuser after some testing, Disable Tq Reduction by Ign needs to be set to 02 on I8A0S cars to enable the torque reduction maps.

The stock I8A0S bins have it set to 00 but for some reason, that makes it disabled. So it's backwards over the other ROM's

Edit: I was wrong. But for some reason, 00 or 02 didn't do anything to affect burble.

So MSD80 never used this function from factory, but they enabled it in MSD81? This whole thing has been insightful since tables were released

Just wanted to post an update for those who may be following this thread or just came upon it.
In terms of "Disable Tq Reduction by Ign", I had to switch it back to factory value to get Trailing Throttle tables to work, which in my case for I8A0S MSD80 was 00. Did lots of testing and 00 definitely keeps this value enabled. The way it's worded in the XDF is confusing, so I'd reword it to make more sense. These tables definitely work for me now, 100%.
I also enabled the Port Injection safety option in MHD, which will require a full rewrite if you hadn't enabled it prior.
With all of this I get burbles on trailing throttle AND shifts (I have MT).

Thanks for the input. Just so I don't go crazy, I'm going to try setting my bin to 00 again and test it out.

I also have PI safety but get no shift pops unless I make use of my jb4 no lift shift module on e85.

Sounds good. I actually get pretty loud pops on full throttle shifts sometimes now, but I'm catless and 6MT. So if you're automatic, shift logic may prevent pops. Same with cats.

Interesting. I'll have some results tomorrow regarding the tq reduction bit flip.

I'm also 6mt as well w/o cats
