On another note, you were sayn something about the 599 vs e92...similar weight, similar drag, but the 599 will break 200mph with 600ish h.p. at the CRANK.
So by your logic an E92 with 520 whp should hit 200 mph with A.T.

Would a 700whp E9x crack 200mph in 2.5miles or would you crack the block or worse the car takes off vertically?

Wow, didn't even seem that hard for it either. Makes sense with 750 hp, when the cars in the original video with much less power were running out of steam at that point.

Thank you for the link. Interesting, he was turning and still going that fast. I understand this thread serves no real purpose but still made for a interesting conversation. Also knowing he only hit 7000rpm shows he never actually hit 200

Drag plays a huge factor and is exponential at that speed. I race the half-mile at shift sector and the best I have done is 156mph I think and I am around 600whp. Maybe it could reach 200 with enough space but that car would not like it floored for a mile +.
