I will search for their threads. Thank you for the heads up. My biggest concern is being able to trust the public XDF and to figure out what it is in the tune i actually need to change. I’m good at the concept of tuning engines but not totally comfortable with using a public xdf on tunerpro. As for n55 self tuning, have you found Sbrach's self tuning thread on here, or Ajuna's over on the other forum yet? Also Sava666 just started an n55 tuning thread here, but it's not getting much traction yet (no pun intended, lol)
Here's some good tuning links:I will search for their threads. Thank you for the heads up. Here’s first vs second gear launch running quarter mile yesterday:
Here’s three more logs launching in first. One of them would have been my best run since i got a 1.66 60’, but i didn’t catch the 1-2 shift before hitting the rev limiter. The other two logs on this link show the car cutting back due to wheel spin. I see the throttle closing when it cuts back, so not sure what i can do to stop this. I would be much faster if i could just let the car spin out of the hole instead of bogging down. Maybe the cutting back is saving me from hopping and breaking axles….. who knows
The logs i just posted were from the same day and fueling conditions. The two good runs differed with launching the car in either M1 or M2. Im guessing path the car takes through the map gets it doing weird stuff with the fueling, unless of course I’m having an issue with a sensor. M2 seems like the best way to go, provided i can launch harder than -10lbs without messing up the transmission or anything else. The M1 launches are very easy since the stock turbo spools really fast. If i launch too hard in M1 and spin the wrong way, the throttle closes for a short moment as you can see in the second link. I sent these logs to my tuner, so hopefully we can get it fixed up. If not, it looks like I’m going to learn to use tunerpro with the MHD XDF and BIN lolWow, your stft is pegged at -30 for the first half of that first run But then it's more normal on the next run, any ideas what might have changed with fueling between runs? Were these all on the same Dorch settings?
Also your IAT's hold pretty well, what intercooler are you running?
This wasn’t hard due to having 2000+ logs of the car at almost every ethanol level. It would be nice to just have the original tune and XDF that Wedge used, but Ken does not want to share these with the public. I need to learn how to use the MHD XDF and options to get the boost as well controlled as the Wedge tune.Nice job turning around an 11 second self tune in a week from scratch How many revisions did you get in before hitting the track?
Update, 11.80 was my best time on stock turbo. I found that Shuenk had the n55+ in stock ready to ship and put that on my car last week Sunday. I managed to go 11.28@120 running a Wedge tune that appears to target 22lbs to redline. Not sure what will be my limiting factor…. Transmission, engine, who knows lolNice job turning around an 11 second self tune in a week from scratch How many revisions did you get in before hitting the track?
What intercooler and intake are you running? Thanks, here’s a log for anyone interested
Vrsf big intercooler and stock intake. I tried the burger intake s while back and gained mph when switching back to stock. One thing about this n55+ is it uses a much bigger inlet. I was using FTP inlet on my stock turbo setup. Here’s a pic of stock vs FTP vs n55+
