Looking for advice on what clutch to put all my hard earned money into once its saved up. Either going Spec Stage 3+ with steel smfw or Mfactory Twin disc setup. Cost is close to the same.

Also on top of that option should I go Non Sac? What are the benifits of non sac?

From my research when I purchased, early reports were mfactory twin disc was very on/off in terms of engagement. That may have changed, I haven't followed the development. My spec 3+ / mfactory steel smfw feels like stock clutch & is holding fine around 700hp levels. I wasn't ready to double the price & step up to Motiv twin.

I appreciate the input. I want to do this clutch and it last me a long time. Want to make the best decision.

Agree with this 100%, I can't tell a difference from stock clutch/flywheel to my spec stage 3+ with mfactory SMFW. Have about 10k miles on it total, been holding over 550wtq for the past 4k without an issue

I have Spec Stage 3+ with Spec FW. I can tell the difference in the force it takes to push it down. But it isn't that much. It also has a small friction zone. You can engage/disengage in about 3 inches of travel. Overall though it isn't that big of a deal. Good setup for sure though.

Thanks for your input. Was it the old version MFactory twin disc?
As far as I know it was. This was in June and it shipped directly from the manufacturer so it was brand new and not old stock from a distributor. They sent me a replacement "temporary" unsprung and were supposed to email me when the new revision of the sprung was released to swap it out but they never did so I just kept the unsprung version because it works.

Anyone have input on going Non Self Adjusting Clutch from the stock design Self Adjusting Clutch? I'm torn between the 2 as I plan to go with Spec Stage 3+

I've got the Motiv ST twin disk set up (designed by Spec) and I'm very happy with it. I'm running MMP twins @30psi and it's had no issues holding the power whatsoever. From the daily drivability perspective, it's certainly not stock but it's more than livable IMO and only gets better with practice. I had to raise the idle to 850 rpm to alleviate the noise and it has much smaller engagement zone. I would suspect that the MFactory sprung version of the twin disk is very similar.

If you're not shooting for much over 600 ft-lb at the wheels, then I'd say go with the 3+. From what I hear it's more useable on the street - although I don't personally have any experience with it. If you have 700+ in mind, then I'd have much more peace of mind with a twin disk.

Yes I am able to buy directly from Spec wholesale. I'll buy the Motive if its $1400. Anyone have part number?

This is what was on the package when mine came in - I'm assuming that's the part number for a 6-bolt one.

Under 650wtq - Stage 3+ , above 650wtq - twin disc. Single disc driveability is better.
I'll still be right under 600 tq on this current setup. What I'm looking is if I can get a Motiv for $1400, is it worth the extra $200-$300 more to have a clutch that will hold far more than I need at the moment. The car is no longer daily driven.

Get the best clutch you afford. If you can swing for a twin disk then get it. That way when you get power hungry you dont have swap your clutch.
