The latest from @PTF on their B58 Bootmod3 closed beta development is this Stage 2 dyno with nothing more than a decatted downpipe and the tune at 16-16.5 PSI on 93 octane fuel:

This is the OTS Stage 2 93 octane final version. 422.77 whp and 423.99 wtq. Making this power with only a downpipe and a tune is amazing.

I want to see E50 tune with 22-23 psi. 500-520 whp stock turbos. That rising horsepower looks like upgraded turbo N54's, wonder what happens when you push boost up on the top end, use way better fuel and maybe rev to 7200-7500.

Did they ever figure out the fueling limitation? Or is the way forward port injection?

My knowledge of B58's is pretty unrefined, I probably know far less than you do. All I see is massive potential on an engine that's barely in its tuning infancy and will be most likely be very very popular in the next 5 years.
