Just curious - anyone have a bead on where this goes and the time frame? I realize I'm asking a speculative question.

The county needs to have more formal complaints for them to intervene or give them sanctions. I believe it is only a matter of time before they escalate this or see past the lies that Matt is telling everyone.
Like you said, Filippo, time is on their side. He is straight up running a ponzi scheme. Taking peoples' money and using it for his current task at hand. However people have been getting their money back through charge backs and what not and some people just take it as a loss and move on, a win for ZNM. So in the eyes of the county, they just care if the customers have that sorted out (at least from my situation with my investigator right now). If the county sees that they are indeed in breech of their integrity as a merchant, only then will they enact. BUT everybody needs to file a complaint formally. The investigator very much knows what is going on, he already told me he searched google and has a firm grasp of the situation. But once again, i cannot reiterate this enough, he needs more formal complaints to actually do something.
Matt and Elyse have ZERO moral compass so they dngaf who they screw over, that conscious right there is the reason they are still around. They are 100% still scamming people, perhaps not so much to the bmw community anymore as we all did well on getting the word out about ZNM.
Elyse has stopped answering me all together again. I just got a few texts from Matt from another NEW number ( i have at least 4-5 numbers from him) saying he wants to settle things or pay for my car to be inspected, since i blamed him for stealing my clutch as well. Bottomline is, they dont care, they will never pay you, they will tell you what you want to hear and move on.
From here, hopefully people who have been affected will take ZNM to court, as i am. As soon as the Bergen county consumer affairs dept gives me the nod they have concluded with my case. I will be pursing like i have stated in the past few weeks. I was advised to hold off until the county investigates first.
***These forums and my threads/responses can very much be used against me in a lawsuit. However ive already came to peace with this situation and how people can be so cruel. Id rather let the public know so nobody has to be in my situation in the future. My 335i will never be the same after leaving my car with Matt and Elyse. I cant even drive it right not knowing that they have fucked with it in so many unknown ways: Matt never confirmed what was worked on, what wasnt worked on. But i know for a fact that parts are missing, i have a unknown turbo in my car, i have new bolts where i shouldnt have new bolts, i have codes, shadow codes completely unrelated to the initial build of my car, there was FOOD scraps and bits in my car that was left from someone driving it. I have missing tools and parts from my tool box in my trunk. I have new dents on the hood of my car. I HAVE A NON OEM new windshield as well. Leaks that never leaked before, transmission leaks, oil leaks, hoses not attached and so much more....I cant make this up. It goes on and on.
