Better N54 oil filtration

I have been told the materials not the same

Yeah....pretty much impossible to get increased flow, without increasing the micron size of the filter material (lets larger particles through), unless there is physically more media surface area (more pleats) in the filter, which that M filter doesn't appear to have.

Has anyone been able to product any actual data sheets from Mann on those two filters? Or is this all just hearsay at this point?

I've asked a sales presentative of Mann + Hummel for the difference between HU 8011 and HU 816.

Let's what the outcome is.
Besides a different Micron size I don't expect any big differences.

Got a disapointing answer from Mann+Hummel.

They are not allowed to share any technical info about the differences on the filter.

Same as the stainless air filters. They are not very effective at catching smaller particles imo.
