There are techniques to launch at whatever RPMs you want under the fixed RPM but they aren’t consistent. Mine doesn’t bog at 3500 it just peels rubber.

Am I understand this correctly

335is with a DCT can now be programmed to
Adjust launch rpm

Adjust traction control

Can the shift firmness and shift speed be adjusted

All of this with out doing the M3 swap now ?

Am I missing anything?

Not yet. There are some folks working on this functionality by 2 different routes:
1) Getting the M3 DSC Module and GWS module and Coding
2) LC via MHD Flash or DME flash

However this is still not available to Public, it's been a year already since this was announced but not released yet though...

@MHD
Hurry!!! I want to be an Alpha or Beta tester! N55 DCT needs your help!

I would be patient with the MHD solution I don’t think it will land anytime soon. If you have an urgent need then M3 GWS and a m3 ratio diff will get you there.

I thought this was already in a testing phase status with positive results since there are a few posts on instagram showing that works...
I really need this solution. the M3 GWS does not fit on the 1 series E82... and I don't want to have an akwardly fitted GWS not made for this car.
I rather have my car converted to manual.... but obviously that's a bad decision.
If you need testers on the MHD solution please PM me, I'm begging you.

@jyamona there is a substantial market for this functionality. More people are doing DCT swaps and have gone to the extreme measure of changing to M3 parts GWS DSC and diff ratios just to have this... any update? @Martial@MHD

Very rough "proof of concept" code was tested to verify it was possible. RPM was hard coded in the assembly code, and needed a long write to change it. Separately I tested intercepting the cruise stalk inputs and calling a custom routine. I still need to write the code to combine everything. However, I have a higher priority item from Martial at the moment.

As for there being a substantial market, perhaps. I also thought there was a substantial market for flex fuel, but that has yet to come to fruition.

Thanks for writing back. I was under the misguided impression that flex was a great success.

Approx 250 out there right now. I guess it depends on your definition of "great success". But for the amount of time it took me, I had hoped for far more adoption by this point.

We’re getting off the topic at hand, but you should at least know that the product is sound and has a good reputation. In my case I couldn’t justify it given that I can’t access e85 readily. The product is genius though :)

I think as this platform gets older, the cars get cheaper, and the new owners get younger, the disconnect between pricing and a quality product gets bigger. The appreciation for the expertise and time involved in projects like this falls to the wayside. Most just want it now and as cheap as fucking possible. Every time I sell something E9x related it's the same juvenile bullshit generally speaking.

BTW, that IKM0S rom has been flawless. Mdrive still isn't functional but I haven't given up. Thanks again.

Love to hear about the rom and the difference it’s made?

Well...the ROM itself has been flawless. It was seamless to install and just as easy for BQ to move my tune from INA0S to IKM0S. I've done one 1/2 mile event with just the M3 conversion and one with the new ROM and conversion. My average speed at both events is up 2 or 3 mph although trap is up only 1 or 2 mph. It's more consistent and consistently faster, whether that's the LSD or slightly lower 2.81 FD or combo of both I don't know.

Like Darrick showed a while back, the IKM0S ROM does now get the MDrive icon to light up in the cluster but still doesn't affect the damn non-functionality of it in IDrive settings. I've tried to PM Tom @Brintech a couple times but got no response and I understand, he's busy as hell and probably doesn't have time to dick around with some Yank halfway around the world, lol. I've been doing a little side work cluster virginizing and helping a M3 specialty shop remotely with some coding, programming, and software set up so I'm going to work him over and try to find the missing piece of the puzzle. I know it's there along with getting MDM functional, it's just a matter of finding the right guy with the right info to get this to fall into place. Hell, at the very least to get it to work as it does in a 1M for fuck's sake!

I was going to ask you what 2019 holds for n54 development. I know you have a ton of things on your plate, anything you can share yet?

I am shocked and dismayed that flex fuel hasn't seen wider adoption. It's an absolutely fantastic creation and I don't know why anyone that has ethanol available wouldn't have it. Heck there's only 2 pumps within a 45 mile radius of me, and I got in on the preorder when it first came out lol.
