AD Engineering is a fraud or scam?

Luckily I haven't ever been foolish enough to send him any money. Why on Earth would anyone considering his track record. You don't have to be a victim to know there are predators out there. Personally I like the innovation that Andy has done - I think the 8.8 is a great choice. Would I purchase from him based on the experiences others have had? Nope. Which is sad, because I bet it's a great product, just not worth the risk of having good communication until money has been sent, then silence for how many month?

Where did I make up lies? Please reference the lies. Your conspiracy theory is pretty funny - I am a customer of MMPs, yes. What does that have to do with AD-E having awful customer service? Are AD-E and MMP even competitors? Where did I ever say he was a scammer? I said he is good at taking orders, not fulfilling them, or communicating about them. Those are called FACTS, hell, even his defenders say he sucks at delivery times and communications.

Where did I make up lies?

You accused me of being partial to Andy and insinuated, no, you stated that was the reason I closed a post on the FB group previously. That is just not true. The OP made a post griping about Andy. I approved it. Someone called the OP a faggot, and after a whole bunch of trash posting, it was closed.

Then you came here making some smartass remark about me closing threads to save face or help people out. That is just bullshit coming out of your face, god forbid what you say about me elsewhere.

You still didn't answer. If my goal was to protect Andy, why would I approve that post in the first place. Please answer since you didn't last time.

I am a customer of MMPs, yes. What does that have to do with AD-E having awful customer service?

My response was about your motivation to make up accusations about me. What does this have to do with the Presidential election of 2020? Once again, nothing, nor does it need to. I'm asking you questions about why you're attacking me and you aren't answering, that's all I see.

This is the problem with the internet. You can't read tone, and you are making a lot of assumptions. My Inb4 lock comment was a joke. When did I say you closed a Facebook thread? It got closed, so there were no more comments allowed on it. Hell I don't even know which admin closed it. But while we are on that topic, why not delete that post and keep the thread on topic?

Are you holding a grudge from a comment I made 8 months ago that was misinterpreted? Sure seems like it.

Let me be clear, I in no way think you defend ad-e, or are partial to him.

AD Smart guy, great fabricator. Not the greatest businessman. He’s no scammer though if I were the OP I would have that impression given the stuff raised here.

As for closing threads I don’t think I’ve seen that happen here. this is an octagon post and that’s we’re itll end up. That’s why people stay here it’s not like the other forums

In b4 this gets closed so as to not hurt ad-e's feelings.

He read your post literally, as you wrote it.

And unless you live in a dark whole or are illiterate, you know there are a half dozen ways to punctuate a one-liner to imply it's a joke. :tonguewink:

The thread was closed today. If it's a joke, that's why I'm clearing the air. I am not one for holding grudges, I confront things head on. I'm not perfect and try to be unbiased as possible so I take that matter seriously even if it was a joke.

I try to stray away from deleting things and frankly, drama about vendors iIdont care about. I can't tell you how many emp complaint posts and jpworkz posts I've denied. I rather focus on things that are actually interesting but I try and make it a point to allow all discussions to at least some degree for visibility.

I’ve ordered the following from AD-E in the past.

1000 FMIC on time and badass
Chargepipe on time and badass
Valve cover fittings. Both on time
Motor mounts on sale. Received within a month. Badass.
Billet Fuel hat for drivers side. About a month later than expected but it’s a custom part. Not a stock item. Answered my questions pretty fast after I received it. Totally Badass peice.

Definitely not a scam I think he just gets overwhelmed and tries to focus on the orders. Communication would alleviate 90% of his bad remarks you come across.

So the valve cover fittings were not badass?

Maybe he needs to hire a PR person to answer emails, threads and such like Vtt did. There seemed to be a positive turnaround when that happened.

I don't believe that works in this business, or people would be doing it. One mis-spoken word, or anything that is said that is not 100% correct, or PERCEIVED TO BE 100% CORRECT, and it seems to me that this community goes apocalyptic. I suspect it is part of the reason so many vendors speak less, and why they wouldn't want to put a 19-year-old kid in that job. Irony on the VTT comment - anyone yet figure out that Chris is a pro when it comes to handling that crap? Ain't no 19-year-old college student ...

Wouldn't be very wise to hire a college kid to be the corporate presence on forums, but maybe would be effective as a secretary/gatekeeper to actually read incoming emails, texts, forums, social media, etc. and forward the ones that needed attention to the boss.

I too had a negative experience with AD. Sent an email inquiring about avaioabavail on the PCV fittings that went un-answered. Since he didn't answer the emails I bought his fittings pre-owned but new.

Come to find out the entire batch that he ordered were incorrectly machined, and wewe not even close to AN standards. I emailed him again about this, and shockingly no answer.

To this day he refuses to rectify the problem, just ignores it.

Because you never made a purchase directly to him, so not worth the time for second hand part users.

It's still his part that he sold either knowing it had a significant design flaw and was falsely advertised or he never even bothered to check even one part before he shipped the entire lot. Either way its at the very least negligence and, more likely, greed driven intent to fraud.

And even to original purchasers he never offered to correct it.

I'm not talking about a part that failed or broke or anything like that. I'm talking you ordered a new windshield and they send you a broken one.

Same to me.
First order was 11mm studs in April 2021 and I've got them with no problem.
Second order was on 3rd November 2021 same studs. Since that time he is acting like scammer. Got sorry email on 7th December and nothing since that time. Hope he is alive and doing well just management problems lol.
Does anyone has business or seen him lately?
