Sorry auto spell check got me on that one. I rarely monitor coolant temps on my N54's only Oil 99% of the time

I just didn't want to spend all that money and find out it can't hold temps at idle. The question now, can this Mishimoto core do the same without fans...

Well never cared or not if I had the built in dash screen until I saw this. Thanks doublespaces for making me regret not buying a car with one! lol
No problem! I am selling my CIC screen for anyone wanting to do a retrofit. But mind you, what I did here replaces that screen. If you go the xcarlink route, you'll need it.

So this showed up at the door today. For the price, I thought it would be much bigger than the Mishimoto. Its wider, shorter and thicker. But the actual core structure...I must say seems to be a superior design. I don't know how much more superior in practice since I never tried the Mishimoto core, but this one seems to have much thinner 'bars' and the fins do not restrict airflow as much. You can see a good comparison on the last page. I have a feeling this thing will cool very nicely, but for $600 it had better. Now just need to find a way to mount it.
Haha, and I am not the type that zip ties a lot of stuff. The only place I ever use zip ties, is to hold electrical wires to a wire loom, etc. Everything else bolts to the car, even if things need fabricated. And I got people over here telling me their trans cooler cost them $72 dollars off ebay and shit: I don't care about your ebay cooler, I'm glad it works for you but my car looks dank not stank.

So I've got two of these things, which should be going into my hybrid bucket soon. My calipers got back from Fab Factory, machined by @A4RingedONE8T and they look great, save for the chips in the paint caused during shipment to FF.
I think I'm going to try and use a Helicoil as an insert so the stock bolt can be used. This eliminates the need to drill out the hole and use the oversized bolt. The idea came from @EOSpeed originally. It seems like it would be a perfect fit and should be plenty strong for the rear brakes.
I also purchased some 535i Zimmerman rear rotors to go with my F30 BBK, they are a couple milimeters shorter which supposedly eliminates the need to machine out the inside of the caliper well. I had them dimpled and slotted like the factory rotors. The dimples and slots are slightly different and the design is one-piece, but considering they were only $200 compared to $479, I don't mind.
I'm having this company also look into machining the front Zimmerman rotors the same way so there will be an inexpensive, matching pair and I'd have some front, two-piece M Performance rotors for sale. This would further reduce the total cost of my brake setup. Here is a breakdown:
BMW M Performance Brake System - $1229.99 (Does not include rear rotors)
535i Dimpled/Slotted rear rotors - $204.25
Rear rotor machining, shipment and insurance both ways - $260
Brake sensors (Optional) - $11.69
Touch-up Paint - $13
Total: $1718.92
Potential deductions:
($500) - Insurance claim
($300) - Sell front rotors and buy Zimmermans
($100) - Sell stock brakes
Grand Total: $818.92
So right now on my to-do list:
1) Make mounting bracket for new Setrab Trans cooler
2) Install BBK
3) Install Double Shotgun and upgrade LPFP
4) Install Rear View dashcam
5) Re-fit Avin CIC screen
6) Run OBD cable behind dash
7) Finish Servotronic Wiring
8) Install Front bumper camera
9) Buy Oil blockoff plate and setup dual coolers
10) Install wireless exhaust relay
11) Install SWS-8x woofers
12) Install dual OCC and external PCV kit
13) Send CP to have AlphaLoc installed
Lastly, I also bought a new DD:
I got it for $4k cash with a salvage title and 88k miles. It had a bad window regulator, and needed a new rear bumper and taillight so all said and done its about $4750.

Its been a month, I also purchased a few new things. I bought the parts to do the M3 cowl conversion, which sadly are significantly more expensive than they used to be. The one thing that bugged me about how I saw most people doing it was the out of place looking cable management. So I bought the guide that most people don't install because its only available from euro dealers and cost me $108 bucks alone from schmiedmann.com. I grabbed the rest of the stuff from Tischer/getbmwparts.

Yeah, it is functional but there is not a hacked up or zip tied piece of my car. Its a lot more expensive but it will look factory. I also don't like the BMS filters, water goes in there when you wash and will make funny AC smells over time.
