DOC Race Supra A90 Top Mount Single Turbo

Had a chat with John from @DOC_Race and managed to get some details about the Supra build they are working on.

They are using a Borg Warner EFR 9180 which is rated for 1000hp and it will be tuned with the help of Chris from Whom Innovations using MHD. The manifold has a T4 twin scroll flange and integrates the factory wastegate actuator. The downpipe is 3" which connects to the OEM exhaust, however a 3.5" to 4" version is planned.

Doesn't look crammed in there either which is nice, the Supra has a massive engine bay in the right place it seems.

With all the hype the A90 is getting at the moment everyone has put N5x and S55 on standby I guarantee.

No real hype. Better chassis better engine, and telemetry. 10.5-10.8sec 1/4mile on stock turbo with tune.

Doesnt look like hype. But N5x and S55 are still super active. At least they have been for me.

oh, btw, our Supra will have a 9280 Doc kit here shortly. So hopefully if it gets here in time we'll beat the race to 800whp. then 1k once i decide which route im going with the built engine.

Posted in my own build thread. But its relevant here as well.

EFR9280 installed. Were in the middle of a snow storm here in the northeast so havent been able get her on the dyno just yet. Little started snowing as we finished the install. so dyno soon when we catch a break in the weather.
