Hey guys,

Just replaced my hpfp and noticing my lpfp is pressure is dipping, car sat for years with almost a full tank i believe the old gas killed it

My question is would diy a walbro 450 just running pump gas have any issues

seems to be a cheaper upgrade over replacing stock bucket

sure.

DIY is easy, Ill suggest to keep the bucket and get the blackmarket 90° fitting.

When you say it's dipping, did you log and with what did you get the log from?

Also, you might want to passive or active cool the EKP.

That was my plan, I was wondering if it would cause any issues though considering I only have access to pump gas in canada, I know guys mostly upgrade lpfp for E85etc. Is it possible to have too much fuel pressure?

Monitoring with MHD.

I have some spare EKP3's from parts car but Im reading mix messages if they need to be coded or not

appreciate the feedback.

no, there's no overpressure with this, flow is greater so requested pressure remain stable.

I dont have access to corn fuel, and I have the 450 , no issues at all.

Just get a 535 bucket and call it a day. I had a 450 bucket and the 535 is hands down a better pump for longevity.

I run 93 pump only.

is the 535 the '' hellcat pump'' and people reported issues and not much better performance over the classic 450, specially on pump gas ?

anyway 580whp Sintle turbo, on 94 and meth and the pressure does not drop on my DIY 450.

No idea about any of that. I would say the 535 realizes anywhere from 120-150% flow over the 450 on 93 pump. It was a massive improvement for me, I was about to do dual 450s.

wow you must run a serious setup.

I ran my 328 high mileage lpfp for a while on a low 21 psi map, and I've changed it after I realized JB4 was reading the pressure 10psi lower.
Now 450, pushing 25 psi on a 6262 turbo and it's pretty stable.

I'm curious where this will be not enough. But for now its plenty of power for me ! coming from a audi 2.0t stage 2 265bhp, I shit myselft with a N54 :joycat:

Hydra stuff... N53 head HP800 twins schrick cams. I was running out of fuel above 7k rpm at anything above 15psi. Cars an animal.
