Ad: VTT B58 GC gets closer to a release date! (photos inside)

How about a little B58 action on this Turbo Thursday! Our newly cast B58 "GC" units are right around the corner with our GC's (shown) being released first (pre-sale will begin around Black Friday) which are a GTX3076R compressor wheel and a 9 blade Garret profile turbine wheel in Mar-M 246 material for ultimate durability.

After that comes the GC+ (target to be around the new year) which is a complete unit including turbine manifold/housing utilizing GTX3582R compressor wheel and GT35 turbine which matches the Garrett RS profile. The regular GC will drop right into the factory turbine housing, the GC+ replaces the entire unit.

As always no cores, direct plug and play with all existing oil and water lines. We also believe the regular GC will drop directly into the A90 Supra's making it the FIRST completely new casting upgrade on the market with no core charges EDIT: we'll need to tweak it for Supra! We will be developing the GC+ turbine housing as soon as we get out hands on a stock unit for sampling purposes. We can't wait to get the sample and get it tested.

They're hereeeee. Got our B58 "GC" samples in today, and man do they look badass!

On the left is the GC+ which again is a 3582R equivalent, and on the right in a 3076R equivalent compressor with a custom Garrett "RS" style 9-blade turbine for a huge flow benefit over the stock turbine, and 3076R flow from the compressor. We are rating these 600WHP for the GC, and 850WHP for the GC+.

Every GC unit also comes with a custom 4" silicone intake elbow that gets rid of the awful stock turbo inlet, and allows you connect it directly to the stock inlet hose, or any 4" inlet on the market for unrestricted air flow into the unit. These truly will be game changers once released. We will begin testing on the GC very quickly, but are waiting for the turbine housing for the GC+ to come back from casting before we can test. We will post results, and more information on release dates, pricing, etc as soon as are ready.

We think the B58 truly is going to reign supreme in 2020, are you ready?

Really excited to see the results of these, particularly the GC+ if I'm being honest. A GT3582R "clone" and 4" inlet sounds like it's got some serious power potential. Are your WHP ratings on full e85, 93, race gas or an e50-60 gasoline mix (and race gas or 93 if so)?

I've been heavily considering buying an LCI 550i xDrive and doing what I can to push that to high HP and low ETs while remaining my daily driver (lots of very basic mods are *still* missing from the N63/TU like LPFP upgrades, proper inlets [one company has M5-style intakes that function as inlets in beta right now, but they neck down quite a bit and have a fairly big curve to them] or any supplemental fueling options and the first two I feel I could DIY and have fabricated, respectively), because a twin turbo V8 that revs to 7K+ and can easily fit two 3076R's in the V just sounds awesome and the platform is clearly untapped. Ive never considered an N55 mostly due to the performance:cost:convenience ratio as a daily, however I love my N54 and have enjoyed every I6 BMW I've owned. So naturally a 2/3/4 40i has been in the back of my mind as an option - mostly due to the fact that the B58 support has skyrocketed with the Supra's arrival and it will likely be easy to make solid HP and remain reliable much like the N54 - even though that took quite a few years longer to accomplish the whole 650+whp mark and was a long, hopeful wait for me personally.

I'll be honest though, that GC+ along with a 4" inlet combo and knowing the B58 is closed deck, plus some variations are forged internals again much like the N54 - that has nearly solely inclined me to look a bit more into the different models of B58 and see if theres one I'd want available in my price range. So if I end up with a _40i in the next month or two, you VTT guys can take credit for the sale.

That's what I figured, wasn't sure if those numbers were after your testing or not though. I'll likely end up running an ethanol blend (e30-e50 depending on what the car can handle) on either car I get and I do expect these B58 cars to be impressive. But also, again, twin turbo German V8 that revs relatively high and has untapped potential... I really think an N63TU with xDrive could be the N54 to the F10 M5's S63TU with the right mods - I just might have to fab some of them myself.
