Thanks for thinking of me! But i'm pretty set on this speedtech kit and the EFR. I may need to reevaluate if things fall through... Hopefully they won't🤞
Keep me posted my buddys been running it on his built n55 for 15k miles. He just wants to get a top mount so we're gonna make one for him

I could probably make you a custom manifold and you just put the efr on top of it or if your keen on staying bottom mount underneath it could even make it v band

This is an interesting idea. If speedtech falls through I may take you up on that. My car is my daily, so I can't really be without it for too long. Do you have access to an e-chassis n55 for mock-up/fit-up?

I do my buddy has a e92 n55 e chassis but he's gonna be getting a top mount kit made

That's good to know. Guessing you'd need an actual EFR turbo in hand for the mockup? I'm pretty risk averse, not sure I'm ready to buy just the turbo without a known working kit to go along with it just yet.

Yeah would kinda need a turbo to get perfect fitment. I'm pretty confident that I could get you a kit that would meet or exceed your expectations. Just need to make a good charge pipe. Make a pipe to place the intake in your desired location. And just route water lines to the turbo and oil drain and feed and make a downpipe for ya

@wheela take the plunge! It's just money. You can make more of it.

Its just a basic log manifold with no flanges for wastegates or 02 sensors since n55 is in the downpipe right ? Seems like the easiest kit to put together. Fabricator lives in Isanti so not to far of a drive

I know that the EFR comes with a standard pressure actuated wastegate actuator. Jeff makes a special bracket for the turbo so that the stock vacuum operated wastegate actuator can be used (so you can use the stock vavuum based boost control). Would you see any issues getting that bracket worked out?

Not great ones, but here is one, along with the manifold and DP. Plus some pics of the turbo inlet that connects to a custom bracket that mounts the same as the stock inlet, and simulates it so you can use the stock air duct. Also, a custom engine mount bracket for the DP to clear.

Ok so that bracket mounts the stock wastgate ?

Sooooooo @wheela heard from jeff yet?
Thanks for following up, I did. He said he's still trying to decide if he wants to sell one more. Apparently, alot of people have struggled to set up the internal wastegate correctly, and he's tired of hand-holding (if I interpreted correctly). But he still hasn't said no. I tried to assure him I won't be high maintenance after the sale, but haven't heard back yet. I'll send another message tomorrow and see if negotiating price will help his decision.

I never knew trying to give somebody money for parts laying on the shelf could be such a challenge🤷‍♂️ I'm sure putting the kit together isn't that simple but, he said he has the parts so that's how I'm feeling right now.

That's a big win, I don't get why he won't just sell you it and let you be on your way. See I'm concerned I'm going to give him my money and then be forced to wait without answers

Why doesn't he sell you the parts and let the person who's gonna be installing them and tuning them deal with figuring it out? Unless the parts are part of the issue which i wouldn't understand why?
