Hey guys looking for some advice/knowledge. I currently have the motive flex fuel module installed on my car and was wondering how that works with Pi. If I get a custom tune at full e85 with the motive module and pi and then need to run e60 is that going to affect the pi tuning? I would be using an aic6 as my controller. Even further what happens if I had to run straight 91/93 pump gas, will the tuning for the pi nozzles be way off because they were tuned on e85? Or does it allow some flexibility/auto adjusting? Or should I just buy a helix lol

I am in the same boat. Once my FlexFuel issue gets sorted out I will be installing port injection. I don't know much about it but I think you can just load the base AIC-6 N54 map. Your tuner will probably do the rest.

What Iam worried about is if the aic6 will be auto adjusting like the dme does with the motive flex module. Or if it doesn’t make much of difference. Iam sure different amounts of fuel will need to be added at different points when switching between e85 and 93. Hopefully v8bait jumps in soon With some insight, and possibly custom tune me as well lol

With flex fuel, if you’re using an AIC6, you’ll use the scaled TMAP output that comes from the Motiv ECA. Normally, without flex fuel, you’d be taking this output directly from the TMAP itself, but this way the ECA will scale the voltage going to the AIC, so it will reference different parts of its map depending on ethanol content.

Alternately, if you use an AIC2, you can use your TMAP/load source as normal, tap into the ECA’s 0-5 volt ethanol content signal, and do the ethanol content compensation within the controller directly. I would discuss with your tuner, and do whichever option they prefer.
