Hey all, longtime forum lurker but just never took the time to create an account until now. I have an Alpine White on red interior e92 335i M-sport. Since my ownership I’ve done

Pure Stage 2 Turbo

Pure Heavy Duty Wastegate Actuator

TurboSmart Dual Port VR9 BOV

Evolution Racewerks TIC pipe

Evolution Racewerks charge pipe

VRSF 3.5 Race Exhaust

RevShift 95A Poly Motor Mounts

RevShift 95A Poly Trans Mounts

CSF Aluminum Radiator

RTD Chassis Mount Shifter

Precision Raceworks Stage 2 LPFP

do88 59mm Turbo Inlet Hose Kit

Funk Motorsport Turbo/Manifold Blanket

Verocious Motorsports Platinum Cured Silicone vacuum hoses

Fuel-it! Upgraded Lines (with Continental ethanol sensor and Fuel-it wireless analyzer)

Originally after I installed the PS2 I got the car tuned by Wedge. After not being able to get the car to run and drive smoothly, I decided to seek out other tuners. I ended up going with @JPuehl after getting the recommendation from @houtan . Currently on Revision 5 and the car feels miles better than my previous tune & revisions. Excited to finally get the car dialed in after over a year of having the PS2 on the car. Glad there are still people out there who give a damn about the n55. Working on a 93 pump tune & then we are going to start an e40 tune. Recently did the oil pan gasket and replaced the pan with a fresh one and had the VAC Motorsports baffle welded in. While I was there I replaced the original rod bearings (107k miles) with a set of ACL Race bearings. The bearings looked okay with some scoring and wear but I’m glad to have replaced them as preventative maintenance.

Nice build mate.
You are in good hands with Jim.
Are you going port injection?
Thanks man! Definitely happy with how the tuning is going with Jim. Can truthfully say I’ve made more progress on my tune in the past month since we’ve started than I did with my original tune (Wedge) over the span of a year. Had the classic cold start stalling, rough idle, and just stalling in general. Eventually I might go PI, but I’m going to be running the Midnight Motorsports fog’r 900 TBI kit. Just getting the 93 tune dialed in and then I’m going to install the fog’r kit. Looking to make 500+whp

Good to hear..ps2 on 93 is good fun. Haven't spoken personally who has fogr installed but read some good reviews. Look forward to seeing your progress. Cheers

I spoke to Kyle at Midnight (I believe he’s the owner) but it sounds like a solid option for folks not wanting to go all out and do PI with a controller, etc. It runs off two hobbs switches, one at 11psi & 16psi. Really excited to try e40 and see how the car feels. Going to buy a drum of Ignite e85 soon 🙌🏼

Please dont run the throttle body injection. Take the money and get the motiv as you will be able not only control the port injection sequentially but also the lpfp based on several factors and conditions. Additionally you can add a low pressure fuel sensor and the ethanol sensor and wire it back to motiv so it can compensate based on ethanol content and pressure difference. Additionally you can ditch the pure wastegate and get the Turbosmart IWG75 with proper spring preset and control with either through the motiv with a conventional MAC solenoid or use a pierburg oem solenoid if you want to keep it on the DME. N55 have high backpressure and will shut the wastegate closed after 5k rpm which will lead to boost fluctuations and non stable boost control.

I already have the fog’r kit in my posession. PI just seemed like a hefty price to pay. Especially after i just did my hpfp, lpfp, fuel lines, injectors. Wasn’t looking to spend another $1000+ when I’m only trying to make 500whp. I appreciate your reply though and thank you for sharing the knowledge. I’ll keep all of that in mind for the future. For the time being the throttle body injection sounds more than capable of supporting my power goals. Obviously not as precise as a reflex + PI setup. But I also would like to go bigger turbo eventually so that would warrant the costs of PI.

Okay folks, so I went to MPACT at Pocono raceway last weekend and @JPuehl got my kill tune dialed in with the fog’r throttle body injection. Unfortunately the event got rained out on sunday so there was only some minor roll racing/they let us rip around the whole Nascar oval. Beat an M4 but wasn’t able to get many roll races in with the rain/wet track. Here are some highway logs of the tune the night before. E43ish in the tank targeting 23psi. Thing feels like I’m hitting a time warp now in comparison to just 93 pump hahaha. Rips for sure. Mixing ignite e98 with shell 93 to get to my e40 mix.
