there are now more and more people converting their N54 E-series to an 8HP transmission and using the Canformance Cantcu controller, so that the 8HP can communicate with the MSD8x and to have a OEM level solution.
Unlike the 6HP, the 8HP uses the air path or ignition to reduce torque during gear changes, deepens on the situation. The use of the ignition reduce was not intended in the E-series combination with the 6HP.
Considering that more and more are going from a 6HP or MT to 8HP, and many want this option, it certainly makes sense to consider it. And to integrate a global function into MHD that everyone can use.
The IKM0S Rom use the IGN way, but it is very different from I8A0S and IJE0S.
MHD told me that it could be possible but the focus is on other things and there is no time for that.
This is my opinion, but what do you think?
