This project originally started off with the ideal of fully building the N55 in my 2011 335xi for no other reason than everything else has already been done over the last 5 years and I wanted to push the limits on the N55 platform. But..... I came up on a deal for an S55 long block with a blown head gasket that cost me less shipped to my door than what it would have cost to have the N55 close decked, so the project naturally had a shift in direction.
The Goal
Obviously, this is a new build, so power levels are speculative, but I'm looking to push between 800-1100 HP depending on tune.
The car will remain AWD (xDrive) and utilize a ZF8HP75Z 8 speed transmission controlled by a Turbolamik TCU.
The powerplant will be a fully built S55 engine running at 9.2:1 compression with a single GTR3582R snail.
The fuel setup is pretty wild since the car is running Direct Injection, Port Injection (6x1000cc), and Methanol Injection.
