I am looking into upgrading the rear end on my car, I need an LSD badly and an axle upgrade as I'm currently running the DOCRACE 6266. What would you do if you had the choice and why ?

Power goal 600-650rwhp.

M3 setup as the n54 diff pinion is the weakest point out of the ones you mentioned. M3 diff and any upgraded axles and driveshaft rated for 100ohp.

The factory M3 LSD will not take any power. The M3 makes Honda 4 banger levels of torque. By the time you put the M3 shit in and then upgrade the LSD you could have gone with a better solution. If you think the M3 LSD is stronger you haven't researched. I believe Vargas even blew one up at moderate power levels

Has anyone actually broken anything with the large pumpkin?

I've been under the assumption that the factory M3 LSD and axles were pretty strong. Budget Bimmers is running one in his 700whp+ 335i and seems to abuse it.

Honestly, I was leaning towards that whole swap in my 135i because of his. If there is more information out there, I'm all ears. But for ~$2500-3000 for a complete E9X rear subframe setup vs. an MFactory LSD ($2600) and upgraded axles ($1000), I feel like the E9X is a better value.

A friend of mine blew up his E92 M3 diff in a few weeks of hooning. Also the M variable diff is not "gripping" the same as for instance a M-factory or OS Giken LSD. I've had a E92 M3 and now OS Giken Superlock LSD, it's amazing.

The M3 axles are strong, the diff housing is bigger and has a better cover for cooling. The LSD is not strong, that's the weak link.

I can't say for the axles, but the M3 lsd is stronger than the MFactory one.
I just broke a mfactory drivers side axle, on the outside like a stock axle does. Yet stock lasted longer..im hoping its a bad part and not just a bad product. 4 days they got used, in reality less than 20 pulls, and rest cruising.. No launchs. Just 40 rolls, and never any traction issues. Whatever that may be worth. Im now out a car before street car takeover on the 1st....cause shipping and warranty aint that fast.

Yeah lifetime warranty is good. They fixed it twice. But you still need to take the thing out of your car and put it back over and over.. plus pay shipping. Better to just buy a part that works in the first place

The stock axle you broke, was it from an AT or MT car?
