Input on log run, is it ok?

Hi guys.

After suggestion from MHD, I tried running stage 2 102 RON map. I am using 100RON fuel, which I believe is testet to an AKI at about 101,7.

MHD says the logs are ok.

I am new, but have read or seen in a video, that corrections above 3 is not good, or on more than 3 cylinders at the same time. I have 5 cylinders with corrections simultatiously, and above 3 degrees of corrections at times.

So would love some input here :) The gain from running 102 map, is probably not much, so just want to make sure it is safe :) I was having more or less zero corrections on 98 maps, which makes sence when running 100 fuel.

102 oct. tune will make more power only if fuel can supply the octane needed. And if not (like your´s) than DME will pull timing and it will not make more power. I would rather stick with a 100 oct map (or 98 oct) and try to lower the corrections over all. As to me thats a lot of correction going on there...

But again, with only pump gas you will always have corrections. The more timing advance added, the more corrections you will have. The less timing added, the less corrections you will have - but you will have corrections in any case. Add meth or go the E85 route to avoid / minimize corrections :)

Thank you for the input.

I was of the same impression, that there are a bit to much correction going on, which will limit any possible power gains from the more aggressive map. So I will go back to 98 map, and stick with pump fuel for now :)

Her is a log from the 98 map, which has very low amount of corrections.

Thats a clean log! I would say in your case the 98oct map is as strong as the 102oct map can be with the fuel used. With the 98oct map you have a bit more of boost (mid range) and the timing advance is very, very stable. Thats what you are aiming for when looking for reliable power.

Log looks good. Correction you are seeing is within reason. Anything up to 3* can be considered fine for BMWs as the strategies used for reduction are quiet aggressive. Leaving stock safeties in place and increasing the boost is the direct result of what you are seeing in your log. Everything seems good.

This one is too aggressive as it seems, I would stick to the log you posted below for 98RON, as it is cleaner looking one.
