HC Performance teases B series OBD flash

Two weeks ago a company called K8 Strasse announced something similar, but it seems that HCP is next to hit headlines on flashing the MG1 ecu found in some of the newer cars such as the F90 M5 and those with the modular B series motors(B58, B48, etc). But this time we also get a log printout of part of the process:

I'm not sure exactly how this is done, but considering they have Bootmod3 tags, we can assume it is done or will be done using the BM3 software. Perhaps @PTF can chime in.

From what I understand still requires a bench flash ( no drill, no take apart ECU ) but some sort of bench flash. Only dealer is somewhere in russia. HCP is working with another vendor for this.

There is a first flash which takes 8 hours. But they say its done over OBD and not on the bench. I'll dig for more info.

According to the vendor that works with HCP, they mentioned it's bench flash first. Maybe OBD direct to DME? Bypassing ZGW and other things?

Maybe shorting out some pins or something then to force BDM.
