Now that i've got y'alls attention, as long as you have a 3D printer, you're able to have a free N54 injector removal tool. I created this when I was unfortunately forced to replace my injectors on my 535i. I've already tested to tool out and it does work to remove the pesky stuck injectors from the motor. For the guys with 3D printers, I printed in PLA but you can print in a more durable material (PETG) if you have it. As far as settings i printed in the Z-axis, everything should download as it I printed it. I went ahead and printed the rod and coupler at 75% infill but you could print it 100% or 50%, i just made mine to where i felt the strength was fine. The Slide Hammer should be printed as heavy as possible to help force the injectors out. It takes a while longer to print but it really helps. I printed mine at 100% i believe and it weighs in at 54 grams.

For the guys without 3D printers, feel free to PM me and ill print off the tool for you guys, they are $30 shipped to the Cont. US

As far as the design goes. The rod is a 16mm rod that is 3.5" long. It has .75" of M12X1.5 threads on the end and the coupler is a 1.5" M12X1.5 fully threaded female coupler.

I have removed 3 injectors with it and it has not broken, it seems very solid, but it all depends on how strong you print it out and how good of layer adhesion you get with your printer. I printed it slower so that it would be stronger. of course PLA+ (which is what i printed in) isnt the stongest filament in the world. But PETG should be better or maybe a nylon filament.

Print it sideways so the layers aren't stacked cylinders to make it stronger.
planned on doing that but my printer is having some problems printing in that axis... SO ive been printing them in the z-axis instead. They come out smoother anyways and the forces being put put on the part shouldn't be greater than the force to break the part.

FYI, I used Watermelon's 3D printed puller and it worked great. I did have about a quarter inch break off where the injector is threaded on but there was plenty of thread to finish the job.

I printed a copy yesterday with 100% infill. The only problem is the threads on the coupler opening is a bit too small and the pin doesn't screw in. I assume it doesn't screw onto the injector either, I am guessing it just has something to do with my settings.

it's obvious. You printed it black not orange.

ugh... such cool stuff. I wish I had the energy to take up one more hobby.

We are in the age of the Star Trek replicators!

It should screw together no problem. Might just have to work it back and forth a few times to work off burrs. Possibly get a metal brush inside and work the burrs off?
