@SLOWESTN54 Reviving this oldddd post just because I know you still browse this forum lol.

Just bought probably the cheapest clean title <150k mile one in the US and honestly they're not too hard to work on

First thing I pretty much did was create a tune for it to lower the coolant temp target from 220F (105c) to 185F (85c)

Honestly the aren't miserable to work on, But They're are a few jobs That do absolutely suck. Let me know how your expeirnce goes. Mine has either cooked the valve seals or the Turbo Seals just haven't gotten time to figure it out yet.

Mine will only ever burn oil if you let it idle for 10+ minutes and then rev it up. Nothing on cold start either. Next thing I'm gonna do is replace all the plastic pcv lines and the stupid fuel tank vent pipe with silicone tubing

My friend's M6 pretty much burns oil on acceleration after idling for more than 2 minutes. Pretty bad stuff. I measured crankcase vacuum and got 66 mBar of vacuum. Spec on S63tu is 50 mBar.

We're thinking that one of his internal pcv is bad. It just sucks that injectors gotta come off for a valve cover job :unamused:

I’ve done all the pcv tubes, mine only smokes if it idles for a long time as well. No smoke on startup.

Basically a year later, Dad yet again bought another sight unseen x6m. This time a 2013 with 102,000km on it. I thought it had a blown motor Judging by the blow buy out the oil fill when the cap was removed. But yesterday i took the time to take it apart and it turns out engine has healthy compression with a max 6% difference between cylinders. I chalk that up to the first cylinder had the highest battery charger and the last had the lowest. ( the last two i did read the same amount). And the plugs showed no signs of a hurt ring or piston.

Already has index 12's in it so ima start with new plugs coils and all the pcv parts, Part numbers, 13717848151, 13717848152, 11157589992, 11157589989, 11157595188, That should be everything in the pcv system.

Don't forget to check the oil pump chain on your next oil change. Mine was so loose it looked like it could pop out at any time
