DCT issue Gear position N

Hey guys I get this error intermittently.
I’m just wondering what it is and whether there is something I can do to get rid of it.

This is a safeguard but should only occur when the conditions are met ie that you switched the car off whilst in drive. The shifter goes to park. The fact it’s gone neutral is weird.
Any codes come up if you scan ?
Does it do it when something in particular is happening ?
Is the car electrically sound otherwise ?
Any other issues or mods recently ?
any coding done recently ?

Park is engaged via an electric solenoid under the shifter cover.

Pull the shifter cover and have a look inside for evidence of spills, corrosion, etc.

The weird thing is it doesn’t go into neutral.
it happens randomly driving.
Admittedly the last time it did it was when my water pump failed, but previous times the car has been running sound.
no other mods or coding done recently either.
