Looking into installing a 335is clutch and was wondering if the kit fits our cars. I have noticed my clutch slipping (car has 43K and is FBO) and would like to keep the OEM feel. I like the fact there is an OEM option out there in the 335is kit. I am assuming the clutch kit fits our cars but just want to get some opinions before ordering it. I see ECS does not list it for our cars but I am assuming they forget about our Z4s.
I am hoping to re-use the dual mass flywheel as I am not a fan of the "rocks in a tin can" sound the singe mass flywheels produce. I know it is not recommended but if it is still in good shape and not too scorned I will got for it. I am reading that a raised idle (via MHD) and different trans fluid can lower the sound but still on the fence about taking the chance. Thoughts?
Also, does anyone recommend a short throw shifter? Would like to have a shortened throw but do not want a notchy shifter in doing so.
