adjusting coilovers on unlevel floor

ill be adjusting my coilovers this weekend, my car is currently on axle stands.
as my floor isnt even, i was wondering if there is any other way of adjusting coilovers.

can i simply jack up the the wheel hub until the car lifts slightly off the axle stand and do my measurements from the center of the hub to the center of the arch? and repeat this process for each corner.

Why not level a straight edge to measure from and level frame of car on stands
