Thanks for posting this; wickedly cool.

Unfortunately Americans are generally stupid to automotive diesels, and a frail market is likely to fold. I'm waiting for BMW to pull the plug on diesel in the USA. That will leave ... if I'm correct ... zero automotive diesel choices.

The crazy part is, the average car enthusiast doesn't understand the performance one can get out of a diesel BMW while getting 35-40mpg. Oh well ...

There are so many stinky trunks rolling coal around town, its not surprising to me why people think diesel is nasty.

My X5d makes over 400 crank hp and 600 crank tq. It gets 28mpg with 125k miles on it. And the best part is, I barely blow any smoke even with all the deletes. Can't complain about that.

Actually, this is diesel in the US:

And don't you dare comment about the stench, otherwise you'll be labelled a Millennial who needs their safe zone and a tree to hug.

Yeah I hear you. Damn shame. But honestly the average person still thinks diesel car is a MB 300D ... and it's nothing like it.

I had one of those dodges once. Most commonly asked question by all the redneck n00bs was "how do I make my truck roll coal?"

My truck was setup like that when I bought it. Oversized turbo, wouldnt spool for shit unless you fueled the crap out of it and it would smoke out the cross bronx.

I sold that and the injectors for smaller ones and put a set of small compound turbos for towing, dialed back the mechanical pump in it and it made more power and boost with less smoke. 52 psi all day long and a light grey haze from the stack. Averaged 21mpg. Before all that I was lucky if I got 7mpg.

Ammonia Creation and Conversion Technology uses freed ammonia to break down NOx leaving nitrogen and water with tests showing a 98% efficiency before application specific fine tuning.

Great technology but Im gonna get political on that article and note the tree huggers complaining about how the C02 is killing the earth.

If I remember correctly, green life thrives on abundance of C02 to provide us oxygen.....

I think people who say C02 is destroying the earth are referring to global warming and the effects related to that. I have no doubt the world is getting hotter. I just don't know if there is anything that anyone could do about it, we have a star blasting energy down on the planet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But I am not a scientist.
